Late Summer Camping at the Reservoir | Bozeman, MT

One of the best things about living in Bozeman is being so close to the mountains and every Friday night we can choose to go biking, kayaking, camping, or do all three and just go. People do it all summer long.

One of the worst things about living so close to the mountains is that every Friday night everyone chooses to go biking, kayaking, camping, or do all three and it can be impossible to secure a campsite. People do it all summer long…

On Friday night, as soon as Danae got back home from work, we peeled off. I have to admit that to be able to secure a good campsite, I had to drive right away in the morning to reserve one and by the time I was up there, there was only one spot left.

It did not disappoint. We arrived and set up was a breeze. We got busy cooking and she made the most delicious campfire pork chops and sauerkraut with asparagus and potatoes I’ve ever had. And of course, the sunrise view from our pod was unbeatable. These are some of my favorite photos. I hope you enjoy them.
